3)That anything is possible as long as you put in the effort and work. And something happens when you have a why.
4) I can use these concepts in life in school or on anything i want i just have to remember anything is possible as long as you put in the work for it.For example let's say i wanted to make money if i'm just complaining that i'm broke etc and i don't actually go out and look for work then whose fault is that ? You have to take all the opportunities that there is for you and use it. You have to make the rest of your life your best. You don't have to start strong but you must finish strong.
4) I think that this matters because a lot of people took the wrong path and they want to change their lives. They probably think that they can't change their lives because they already done something that they weren't suppose to, but they are wrong. There are million opportunities for you to better yourself. There are a lot of programs and people that can help you become a better person. You just have to believe in yourself and take all the opportunities that there is for you and use them. You just have to think that you will, you can, and you must do it.
I can apply this concept to my life by believing in myself more. Sometimes I think that just because I did something that means I can't change my life around. I can change it and make myself a better me. I have to believe in myself and take all the opportunities possible for me. I can achieve whatever I want if I believe in it and actually give the effort to accomplish it because I can do it.

This video was Bout E.T.'s success and how he went from being homeless to getting his P.H.D. and helping others. HE has really helped a lot of people and pushed others to keep going. The video is saying never give up and to finish strong.
ReplyDeletebased upon my understanding, this video is giving you the gateway to success. Its giving you key tips not to give up. If you give up its all over, all your hard work for nothing. E.T. id telling you not to give up because you're much better than that. You can be great in life and everything you do.
Why does it matter and how can I apply it to my life? It matters because i cant give up on anything or anyone. I need to try harder in my classes and football. I want to get a scholarship to a good college and this is the way to go. so i need to do better in my studies. Also on the field and try my best.

ReplyDelete2. ET, a motivational speaker, goes to a high school dropout prevention conference. There he gives motivational speeches and words of advice to the teachers and other individuals who are associated with education.
3. Based upon my understanding, the video could possibly mean a few things. One of those things is to not just complete school for yourself ,but think of it as doing it for your family too. As some would say your progress would reflect your families. Another meaning could be that in order to reach that one point of life you would want you would need to go through the educational system.
4. The video matters in one simplistic way. That one way would be that it helps prevent this future generations from dropping out of school. This is important as in this day and age individuals need some kind of certificate or degree that qualifies them to get the job they want. An example of this would be that to be a high end engineer you will not only need experience ,but also most employers will not hire you unless you have a engineering degree. That will prevent some from achieving their dream job.
I can apply these concepts in my life in a variety of ways. One way to apply the concept to my life would be through school. In more detail I would not drop out of school and go for high achieving standards. Based on the concepts this will help set me up for my college and my future degree. Another way would be to not give up. Even though some classes might be challenging and cause a bit of havoc in your life you would need to work past that according to the concepts shown by the video. This will indeed help you get to where you want to be.

ReplyDelete2)In my own words, I think the video is saying that if you have knowledge you will benefit from it. Also, the video is saying that if you don't have a value system you will not understand why you can't succeed.
3)Based upon my understanding, this means that when you want to succeed and put effort into it you will succeed. Some people fear success. People who get second chances are very lucky because some people don't get second chances at all. That's what I can say based upon my understanding.
4)This video matters because it is a real life statement. People really accept to keep failing. If you are weak people are not going to want to socialize. You have to ask yourself why sometimes. That's why the video matters.
I can apply it to my life because sometimes I don't put effort in the work I do. I also can apply it to my life because I want to succeed. I need to focus on what can happen. I need to start putting effort in everything I do. That's how I can make it better for myself.

ReplyDelete3. The video had three main meanings. Redemption, Restore, and Return. As in redemption, he meant to redeem yourself and work on your self first. As in return, he mean to return to what you were doing and try harder. As in restore, he mean to restore what's been damage and fix it.
4. The video matters because you can use it as a source of motivation to help yourself and others who is struggling. People can use the video to help themselves. To thrive for better in their life. It teaches others to believe in their hope and dreams. To not give up so easily.
I can apply this to my life by focusing on what I can do and not what others say I can't do. To become more committed and finish what I am doing. Believe that anything is possible if I try. Find what's my why and use it for motivation. Make my own world and live it how I want to.
2 E.T has lots of good points in this video such as, anyone graduate high school even if you are a drop out. Another good point he has is he wants people to go back to high school. Lastly he wants to make everyone successful.
ReplyDelete3 What this means is that he believes anyone can change. He also believes that people can change and be successful. What I mean by that is maybe people regret dropping out of high school and want to correct their mistake. Lastly I think he is trying to say that if people think of you a certain way you can change that.
4 This means that you have a second chance to redeem yourself. And also correct your mistake, and be successful. What I mean by this is that if you really want something go after it. And it will eventually pay off. Lastly this means that no matter your situation you can change that.
You can apply this to your life by never giving up on something. And watch videos like E.T.s videos because they will inspire you. You can also try and do things differently. What I mean by this is instead of being lazy go out and stop being lazy and start being successful.

3.) It means to never stop, or let anything get in the way of your future. Always look at the positive and never at the negative. Eric Thomas, says he always hears that other people have a bad life or it is too hard, but E.T.'s life he speaks about how he was homeless, a high school dropout.
4.) I can apply this to my own life by never giving up or just to always look at the positive, no matter what situation. I hope to finish high school and go to college and finish, but college is not easy and I need to work hard which includes AP classes, sports/clubs. I also will try to stay off any thing that can hurt me within school and life, such as gangs, drugs, etc. I would like to stay on the right path for school, so I can go to college and hopefully finish.

Believing in the future and having hope will make anything happen. The power of belief and hope is magical. Anything is possible and anything can happen.
4. This matters because when I feel like giving up I will just believe in the future and have hope that I will and can succeed. When I have homework or tests or anything that I should work on I will think about my family and do my best in school. When I join a sport or club I will use the as a reference and create my own world. I will use this video to help me throughout high school and college to get the best grades I can get and support my family. ReplyDelete2) The video talked about how you shouldn't let fear control what you wan to do. Do not let fear of success and do not follow into the footsteps of others if it is bad. If you start something, always finish it.
3) Based on my understandings, this means that we should always do our best to succeed and to do the things we really want to do. In the video, E.T. talked about how one of his teachers told him once to not be like his father. E.T. responded by telling his teacher that he didn't even know his father, all the teacher said back is that he knew that his father was an irresponsible persona and didn't finish anything. He was given the advise to not follow into those steps and to accomplish what he really wants.
4) This matters and I can apply in to my life to make it better because this video explained really well that we need to accomplish the things we want. We shouldn't let fear and laziness control us and we need to know that at the end, everything we did is going to be worth it. We should never follow into the steps of others who did bad. If our parents did bad decisions and didn't finish school, that doesn't mean that we are not capable of doing it ourselves.
Another thing the video talked about if how we shouldn't let fear control us and that we shouldn't have fear towards success.

When you have a bad grade on things you should just keep trying and not give up, look for ways to improve your mistakes and raise your grades to be better. If you want to breathe as bad as you want to succeed, the you will be successful. -Eric Thomas. When you feel like giving up you need to keep going and not say i cant do it.
3. This matters because i can use the video when i am struggling. When i am taking a test, i can think back to the video and remember what Eric Thomas said, "If we believe and move on our belief we can create anything.", so if i believe i can do things i will. This allows other people with bad grades and things that they need help on they will keep trying. If people who think they need to give up watch this video, it will help them realize that they can do it and that they shouldn't give up. At least thats what the video did for me.
4. This matters because when you need help you should look out for people who can help you. You never know when theres a person who can help and that person has been by your side the whole time you needed them. When you have a good relationship with people they might be the ones who help you through thick and thin. The people you will least expect to be your adviser might end up being that. They will need it in return though. Not everything is for you to have to the advantage and take all the advise, you might need to help them when they need it.
I can apply this to my life by reminding myself about this video when i am about to give up. People think that they can't do it just because they are afraid. They need to put all of that fear behind them and just do it. I speak for myself in that last sentence because thats how i think sometimes. When i was at a lake once my family wanted me to jump off a not to high cliff. I didn't because i was scared, but i regret not jumping because i know i would have liked it. I didn't jump because of fear. When i am afraid of something i can think back to the day that happened and change my negative thinking to positive thinking.
2. This video is meant to give hope to those who have given up hope for a great life. It inspires those who are giving up hope and teaches them perseverance to achieve there goals.
ReplyDelete3. It means even if you believe there is no hope, there is always hope for the future no matter what. We are always getting depressed over the most smallest of things and we should not, it is unethical and unhealthy. It is paramount to always stay hopeful and semper fidelis.
4. This matters to me because it can help me finish schooling if I am unable to because of the Marines, and I may end up becoming medically retired or just because the call of duty is more important than college. The lessons I learn will help with me for everyday life as well as my career in either ordnance artificer, combat engineer or a civilian doctor, to always keep looking for the brightness in the dark. It will help me in firefights, rough formulas or surgery, to always be at my best. Semper fidelis to my loved ones too.
